Additional Information

Introducing the Pro Fish! A refined modernized take on the timeless retro fish developed by Steve Lis in 1967.

Working closely along with Darshan Gooch we took something as tried and true as the Fish design and added design elements to give it more juice and capabilities in better waves.

Increased nose and tail rocker complimented with a narrowed nose and tail outline allows the Pro Fish to be ridden in tighter pockets and be surfed more aggressively and similar to a performance shortboard. A Pro-Fish-Ent version of our classic Fish model.

Can be ordered as a twin or quad and also with or without a wing to break up a wider outline.

Outline

To make the pro fish, I took a classic fish design and added curve to the outline by pulling in the nose about an inch and the tail a half inch compared to my classic fish outline. This shorten the rail and allows the board to redirect easier while still keeping a short high surface area platform

Rocker

The rocker is a parabolic rocker which I increased from a standard fish 3/8 in the tail and an eighth in the nose. This was done to allow the board to maintain speed through turns.

Rails

Instead of using the standard flat deck with turned down rails on a fish, I used a dome deck with 50-50 rails in the front transitioning to a standard performance rail from the midsection back, This was to give the board the feel of a performance board

Bottom contour

I kept the same bottom contour as on a standard fish, slight rolled V in the nose, transitioning to a slight single in the middle of the board to an exaggerated V out the tail this increases the rocker on the rail
