Koa Smith and the 2x4

When we say that the 2x4 model can be made to handle "step up" conditions, we don't lie.... Sand and Fury from LastNameFirst.tv on lastnamefirst.tv. Koa Smith has been a stalwart supporter of the legacy construction and his 2x4 dims don't argue back when pushed into waves of consequence. I know what Koa does with his boards and it's amazing how long they have lasted when hearing how and where he's taken them around the world. It was jaw dropping to see that little red 5'8" x 18.5" x 2.3" cork/bamboo quad flying through angry mexican tubes. If there's a wave that eats both boards and ego , it's that ominous stretch of beach right there. Koa's 2x4 step up that he's surfing is a pulled round pin 2x4 with PU core and CFT lamination. 6'0" x 18.625" x 2.4" Words from Koa, "That blue board was a 6'0 step up I had ordered for Back door and off the wall. A little thicker for maximum paddle power and a little heavier for intimate hold. I was absolutely shocked on some of the foam balls I survived on that board. That magic board is going on the wall!" want to get a cork/bamboo 2x4 model just like Koa's? contact orders@stretchboards.com and get dialed in. No massive death tubes required!
